Graphics and Cardigans

Hey guys,
It's Monica here! I haven't had the chance to post something of my own so here I am. Haha, I just got home from spending some quality time with the family. Here is my outfit of the day. A bit laid back for my usual style, perfect for going out with family or friends. It's comfortable yet stylish at the same time!

Meeting Ma-a

So Monica (Ma-a) is out with her family and she'll be posting later! But for now, I'd like to take this time to talk about her sense of style.

Looking at this picture, it's easy to see that she's not afraid to take risks. Monica's wearing a long black skirt paired with a denim  corset that zips down from the front. Because the skirt rests above her hip, it elongates her figure, giving the illusion that she has long lets and a small torso. Even though we can't see her feet, I'll assure you that she's wearing some awesome heels. Her taste in shoes is phenomenal and I often find myself gawking at her collection.

Overall, the look gives her an "edgy" sort of appearance. Monica's teal  streak and winged eyeliner add to this look. In terms of overall style, she's a chameleon offering both variety and versatility.

I realized Monica and I haven't posted in forever so I thought I'd update you with a little "outfit of the day".
Today I'm sporting an American Eagle floral top, an American apparel nude vest, brown belt, and jeans that I bought from my friend Stephy Bi!

Easy Solutions

When Christmas rolls around, we are usually drowning in a sea of matching ill-fitting clothes. Typically, they end up in the back of our closets, stashed away for years. We have found, however, that this is the easiest solution to tackling tanks (or dresses?) of awkward sizes/lengths!

Back to School Outfits

To anyone that went back to school today, we hope you had a great day! While it was definitely a struggle waking up this morning, we eventually dragged each other out of bed to throw together these outfits!

Karen is wearing a Forever 21 top, American Apparel teal belt, dark washed jeans, and Steven Madden combat boots.

Monica is wearing a gray top, green scarf from Greene Street Consignment, dark washed jeans, and Oxfords (that Karen bought her from Germany!)

While it seems like just another day of the year, it's important to make a good first impression! It is our hope this year that we carry on with this style of dress without succumbing to the "bum" attire of the tired and stressed student!

We'll continue to post our outfits of the day periodically!

That Punk Rock Flow
Because we haven't been able to post in what seems like forever, here's another throwback for ya.
Karen's sporting cheetah leggings, light washed jean shorts, and a plaid button down. Monica, on the other hand, is wearing dark washed skinny jeans, a graphic tank, checkered button down, and a beanie with old-school headphones to complete the look.

On the other end of the style spectrum is the "Asian Look". You could never go wrong with Hello Kitty apparel, pig tails, and red lips! Headphones, bows, and other cute little accessories add a nice touch.

August Crackdown

It's been pretty hectic these past few days and we're sorry we haven't been able to post anything! Monica's been dealing with all sorts of teenage drama while Karen's been gearing up for her senior year (which consists of drowning in a sea of summer assignments and college applications). We promise, however, to get to work soon and update this blog as much as possible. Whether it be through DIY projects or OOTD's, we're excited to delve into the fashion world.

In the past week we've focused on going through our closets and sorting our old clothes. Together, we found a lot of promising pieces that can easily be recreated. Trust us when we say we can't wait to start these projects and share them with you!

Even though we're just in high school, we'd love to offer you our insight on the latest fashion and trends. With a little intuition and innovation, we also want to create some trends of our own.

The Prequel

In our attempt to have a photoshoot and introduce ourselves, we've seemed to have gotten Monica's favorite heels stuck in an air vent. I don't understand exactly how one can fail at this level... but I guess its just something that runs in the family.
